Who holds the ledger
Personal data gathered through grandicasino.org is controlled by the Prairie Island Indian Community, 5734 Sturgeon Lake Road, Welch MN 55089, US. Questions about it go to privacy@grandicasino.org.
Bits that reach us
- Each page request hands our host your IP address, a rough idea of where you are (worked out from that IP, city level at best), the browser's self-description (user agent), the requested page and where you came from.
- If you email grandicasino, directly or via the drafting form, we hold whatever you wrote: your name, your reply address, the topic and the body text.
- One small local-storage entry records what you picked on the cookie bar.
What each bit is for
- Keeping pages online and fending off abuse, which rests on our legitimate interest.
- Analytics: visit tallies telling us which entries readers open, collected only after you say yes.
- Marketing, specifically letting an affiliate network see that a reservation started from our link, again only after a yes.
- Writing back when you have written to us.
Outside hands
Our web host and mail service process data on our instructions. An analytics vendor sees visit data if you switch analytics on. Partner and affiliate networks, and the hotel itself, receive referral details when you click a tagged link with advertising allowed. Once you land on a hotel's website, its own policy governs. Selling personal data is something grandicasino simply does not do.
Crossing borders
A vendor might keep records in another country. In that case we lean on contractual protections, for example the EU standard contractual clauses.
Shelf life
Access logs: ninety days at most. Correspondence: while your query is open, then two further years at the outside. The consent entry: until you wipe or change it.
If the GDPR covers you
Ask grandicasino for an export of what it holds on you, demand corrections or deletion, restrict or contest its use, move it in a portable file, or withdraw consent at any moment. A complaint to the supervisory authority where you live is always open to you.
Californian readers (CCPA/CPRA)
California law lets you learn which categories of personal information grandicasino holds and why, have it corrected or erased, and refuse any selling or cross-context advertising use of it. Browsers sending Global Privacy Control get our advertising category switched off without asking. Nobody gets worse service from grandicasino for using these rights.
Younger visitors
grandicasino addresses readers of 18 and older. Should a minor's details reach us anyway, tell us and they will be erased.
